The Pie Shoppe is a food app concept based on a pie bakery that I used to frequent when I lived in New York City. I imagined there is a pie shop out there that wants their own app/experience where you make your order, and they asked me to design it!
Target Audience: Dessert Lovers of All Ages. Challenges: Creating a visually appealing design that will entice the user to want to purchase items as well as enjoy a simple UX that makes it easy for users to make orders.
My research consisted of a competitive audit containing all of the most famous pie shops around the nation. I learned that a lot of pie shops don't have their own mobile apps, they tend to use a website or mobile website, which I thought was interesting.
The color palette was chosen to be in accordance with accessability standards regarding contrast.
I created a mobile app prototype. I wanted to experiment with animations, components, and prototypes in Figma.
